Terms of Service for Stress Free-Shine, LLC

Welcome to Stress Free-Shine, LLC! We're dedicated to providing high-quality residential and commercial organizing and cleaning, event (pre and post) cleaning, move-in cleaning, move-out cleaning, and UV-C Light sanitation services. By engaging our services, you ("Client" or "You") agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Stress Free-Shine, LLC offers these services:

  • Residential Organizing and Cleaning

  • Commercial Organizing and Cleaning

  • Event (Pre and Post) Cleaning

  • Move-In Cleaning

  • Move-Out Cleaning

  • Residential UV-C Light Sanitation Services

2. Service Area and Mileage Fees

Our primary service area extends within a 15-mile radius of our home office located in Blaine, Minnesota. For services rendered outside of this 15-mile radius, a mileage fee of $15 will be charged for every additional 10 miles (or portion thereof) traveled beyond the initial 15-mile service area. Mileage will be calculated using Google Maps for the round trip from our home office address to the service location.

3. Minimum Service Hours

All services provided by Stress Free-Shine, LLC require a minimum of two (2) hours of service per visit. If the requested service is completed in less than two hours, the Client will still be charged for the full two-hour minimum.

4. Free Consultation for First-Time Clients

First-time clients are eligible for a free consultation, lasting approximately 15-35 minutes. This consultation assesses your specific cleaning and organizing needs, discusses service expectations, and provides a personalized quote. This consultation does not obligate the client to book services.

5. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations

  • Quotes and Estimates: All quotes provided by Stress Free-Shine, LLC are estimates based on the information provided by the Client during the consultation and our initial assessment. The final price may be adjusted if the actual condition of the property, scope of work, or required time differs significantly from the initial assessment. Any material changes to the scope of work or estimated cost (defined as exceeding 10% of the original quote or requiring more than an additional hour of service) will be communicated to the Client for approval before proceeding.

  • Scheduling and Confirmation: Services are scheduled upon mutual agreement between Stress Free-Shine, LLC and the Client. A service appointment is considered confirmed once a written agreement (e.g., email confirmation or a signed service agreement) is provided by Stress Free-Shine, LLC and acknowledged by the Client.

  • Payment Terms: Payment for services is due in full upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept credit card, debit card, Zelle, Venmo, and cash. A 3.5% service fee will be applied to any credit or debit card payment. A detailed invoice will be provided upon request.

  • Discounts and promotions are limited to one per household.

  • Late Payments: Invoices not paid within three (3) business days of service completion will be considered overdue. A late fee of $50 or 5% of the outstanding balance (whichever is greater) will be applied for every 7 days the invoice remains unpaid. Stress Free-Shine, LLC reserves the right to suspend future services until all outstanding balances, including late fees, are paid in full.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

    • Clients must provide at least 48 hours' notice (excluding weekends and major holidays) for any cancellation or rescheduling of a confirmed service appointment. This allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the slot to other clients.

    • Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice but more than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the estimated service cost.

    • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice (including same-day cancellations) or "No-Shows" (where our team arrives at the scheduled time but cannot access the property or the client is unavailable) will be charged the full estimated service cost for that scheduled appointment.

    • This fee compensates Stress Free-Shine, LLC for lost revenue and operational costs incurred due to the last-minute change.

    • Frequent cancellations or rescheduling may result in Stress Free-Shine, LLC declining future service requests.

  • Service Interruption/Early Departure by Client Request: If the Client requests that Stress Free-Shine, LLC cease services before the completion of the agreed-upon tasks or before the minimum 2-hour service time, the Client will still be responsible for the full estimated cost of the service or the 2-hour minimum, whichever is greater.

  • Team Member Safety: Stress Free-Shine, LLC reserves the right to discontinue service immediately if our team members feel unsafe, threatened, or if the working conditions pose a health or safety risk (e.g., presence of hazardous materials like biohazards or significant mold, excessive clutter obstructing movement, or aggressive pets). In such cases, the Client will be responsible for the full estimated service cost for the scheduled appointment. Stress-Free Shine, LLC reserves the right to deny any client or potential client for any reason.

  • Quality Assurance and Feedback Satisfaction Guarantee: Stress Free-Shine, LLC is committed to your satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with a specific aspect of our service, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion. We will assess the issue and, if appropriate, will re-clean or address the specific area(s) of concern at no additional charge within 2 business days. This guarantee does not apply to services that were limited due to client instructions, property condition, or to claims made outside the 24-hour window.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Securing Valuables: The Client is responsible for securing all valuables, fragile items, cash, jewelry, irreplaceable items, and sensitive documents prior to our team's arrival. We recommend that clients remove or secure any items they deem particularly valuable or delicate.

  • Pets: For the safety of our team and your pets, please ensure all pets are secured or removed from the service area during cleaning. Stress Free-Shine, LLC is not responsible for any incidents involving unsecured pets.

  • Pre-Existing Conditions: The Client acknowledges that Stress Free-Shine, LLC is not responsible for damages resulting from pre-existing conditions (e.g., cracked tiles, loose fixtures, worn surfaces, unsealed natural stone, etc.). Any pre-existing damage should be communicated to Stress Free-Shine, LLC prior to service.

  • Communicating Needs: The Client agrees to communicate any specific cleaning instructions, concerns, or areas requiring special attention prior to or at the start of the service.

7. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Damages

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT LIMITS OUR LIABILITY.

Stress Free-Shine, LLC strives to provide services with the utmost care and professionalism. However, by engaging our services, you agree to the following:

  • No Guarantees: While we aim for exceptional results, Stress Free-Shine, LLC does not guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odors, or deeply embedded dirt, particularly in cases of severe neglect, prior damage, or limitations of cleaning products/methods.

  • Property Damage: In the rare event of accidental damage caused directly by Stress Free-Shine, LLC personnel during the provision of services, our liability shall be limited to the lesser of: (a) the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item(s); or (b) the total cost of the cleaning service provided for that specific engagement. Client must report any damage within 24 hours of service completion, supported by photographic evidence where possible. Failure to report within this timeframe may waive any claim for damages.

  • Exclusions from Liability: Stress Free-Shine, LLC shall not be liable for:

    • Damage caused by the Client's failure to secure or remove valuables, fragile items, or sensitive documents as outlined in Section 6.

    • Damage to items that are not properly secured or are inherently unstable (e.g., pictures not properly hung, wobbly furniture).

    • Damage resulting from pre-existing conditions of the property or items being cleaned (e.g., faded upholstery, worn finishes, loose grout, unsecured carpet).

    • Damage caused by the Client's or third-party's actions or negligence.

    • Damage or loss of items not directly handled or cleaned by Stress Free-Shine, LLC personnel.

    • Loss of business, profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

    • Damage caused by the reaction of cleaning products or methods to undisclosed or unusual surfaces, finishes, or materials.

    • Any claims arising from the use of UV-C light sanitation services beyond the intended purpose of surface disinfection.

  • Indemnification: The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stress Free-Shine, LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with the Client's breach of these Terms of Service, the Client's negligence or willful misconduct, or any claims brought by third parties related to the services provided at the Client's property, except in cases of Stress Free-Shine, LLC's proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the services provided by Stress Free-Shine, LLC shall first be attempted to be resolved informally through good faith negotiations. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to engage in mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms of Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Anoka County, Minnesota.

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Stress Free-Shine, LLC regarding the services provided and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding such subject matter.

11. Amendments

Stress Free-Shine, LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms of Service on our website or providing notice to the Client. Your continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
